Extice

The need

CIRA is spread over an area of 1,600,000 square meters. A small artificial hill divides the whole area into two zones: in the first there are the laboratories of calculation, the executive offices and the cafeteria, while in the second, there are test facilities: wind tunnels, the testing system for crash accidents and the technological laboratories. Among the projects that the CIRA is also carried out annually there is EXTICE, or a draft Level 1 EXtreme Icing on the Environment, dedicated to theoretical numerical tools for the characterization of aircraft in terms of ice type Super Large droplets.

Portal

The European project of CIRA EXTICE is a long-term work involving the interchange of documents and analysis, testing and predictions of a high number of teams, partners, investors, internal and external specialists and subject present or not in the Italian territory . To manage this information and materials the portal developed by Abstract has been divided into two sections: the first section dedicated to the public to obtain the information of public interest and that could attract investors. The second part of the website, however, is devoted to a number of customers registered for the majority formed by professionals and institutions directly involved in the research. Within this section are collected, according to common standard formats, a number of useful documents progress of the project. The area, typically developed by an ideal of active collaboration includes several meeting points between the various actors such as the area dedicated to the discussion forum. With the creation of these areas the project progresses more rapidly and the information travels in a safe, traceable and easier to use.
